John Warren commented: "Seven riders arrived at Union Hall to 25C temperature, o'cast conditions, which turned to rain squalls, and a heavy 20-25 kph SW breeze. All riders finished. In spite of the conditions, fastest rider Aaron Fillion (Ride with Rendall) set a new Course Record in a time of 19:06, which is the fastest time recorded on any ABC 15k time trial. This eclipses the previous record of 19:57 set by Paul Datars in 2003. Shawn Hamilton was the fastest ABC rider in a time of 23:38. Celia McInnis was the fastest female in a time of 27:39. Chad Clifford was able to set another Personal Best in a time of 29:08."
Additional comments from Celia McInnis: Tonight was a case of riders arriving back in reverse order of their send off. Last out and first back with a new Tatlock Road record was Aaron Fillion in his first try on this course. Aaron's 19:06 was not only 51 seconds faster than Paul Datars' previous course record of 19:57 (set on 2003-Aug-19), but it was also quick enough to allow him to finish and pack his bike in his car before the rain got going. He was as happy that his bike didn't require another cleaning as he was at his great time! Way to go, Aaron! Congratulations as well to Chad Clifford for being the only person to improve upon his previous season-series best. He improved his cube-speed by 5.59% while no other rider was within 5% of his season-series best. Here is a graph of the 2010 ABC 15km TT performances of tonight's riders who have done more than one.
Next 15k TT; meet at Union Hall, Tues., September 14, at 5:45pm for a 6:00pm start. Note that the start is half an hour earlier than August.
The last ABC 40k TT is scheduled for Sun., Sept. 12, meet at Calabogie Boat Launch at 7:45 am.

Our fall road clean-up to continue the ABC Adopt-a-Road for Tatlock Road will take place on Wed. Sept. 22. We need helpers to clean debris from Wolf Grove RD, south 2 km to Miller Rd; meet at Union Hall at 6:00 pm.
As we wind down the Time Trial season, please note that the ABC Awards Dinner will take place at the Union Hall on Saturday, November 6, at 6:00 pm.
